But, sometimes, small town life can close in. I attended college at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and began to realize that there was more to the world than my little part of it. I joined the Air Force right out of college. I was privileged to work on some very important projects, including the Bosnian Peace Talks held at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Most importantly, I was able to work with wonderful, smart, motivated people of all ranks. It is truly an honor to be associated with such a remarkable institution.

My wife, Eve is the model for one of the characters in my books. Probably the only significant difference between my Eve and Jim’s is that my Eve can’t swim. Her wit and charm may be a bit understated too. We are the proud parents of one son. A remarkable young man with a heart as big as all outdoors. My life is better because of him.
